I got the scoop on this!  The Libertarian candidate for Governor of Virginia is coming to Mechanicsville!  And King William, too!

Here’s Sarvis’ impressive bio from his website:

Robert Sarvis, 36, is a native of Virginia. He was born at Fairfax Hospital, grew up in West Springfield, and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School for Science & Technology. He has earned degrees in mathematics from Harvard University and the University of Cambridge, a J.D. from N.Y.U. School of Law, and a Master’s in economics from George Mason University. He has a diverse professional background, with experience as an entrepreneur and small-business owner, a software engineer and mobile-app developer, a math teacher, and a lawyer. Rob is married to a pediatrician from Greenville, MS, with whom he is raising two beautiful children in Annandale, Virginia.

On August 1, Sarvis will be the guest of the Mechanicsville Tea Party at their 7 pm meeting at the American Legion hall.  The MTP meets in the ladies auxiliary meeting room.

On August 8, Sarvis will speak to the King William Tea Party – 7 pm at their usual meeting place – the King William Government Center.

This is the most serious Libertarian effort in the Commonwealth.  Come out and meet Robert Sarvis.  You have an alternative:  Sarvis recently got 7% in a Democrat leaning poll (Here it is).  He WILL be on the Virginia ballot.  The blog and I have endorsed the GOP candidate but I promised to give the Libertarians good and fair attention at this blog.

Here is his website.  If you want to help Sarvis or the Libertarian in your area (Christopher Sullivan is in the 55th) contact them!  Come out and see Robert Sarvis.
